Built from passion

- shaped by experience

Dan thrives on running businesses and managing day-to-day operations, always seeking effective solutions to challenges as they arise.  His deep passion lies with the Australian Shepherd and ASCA, a bond that began in 1984 with the purchase of his first Aussie - since then, he hasn't gone more than 30 days without one.  His dedication to the breed and the organization is evident is his years of service, having served on ASCA's Strategic Planning Committee from 2010 until it's dissolution.  He later joined the Stockdog Committee in 2013, stepping into the chair position in 2015 and leading the committee until 2019.  After a brief hiatus, he returned as chair from 2020 to 2022.  Dan's extensive experience and commitment to the sport have made him a respected figure in the stockdog community, where he continues to contribute his knowledge and passion.

With a clear vision and relentless drive, Dan meticulously designed his ideal trial facility, refining every detail on Google Maps before bringing it to life.  His strong work ethic, attention to detail, and entrepreneurial expertise have shaped the D&D Mini Ranch into a premier venue for stockdog handlers and competitors.  Dan's hands-on approach ensure the ranch operates at the highest standard, providing a top-tier experience for handlers and their dogs.
